Bio:

Kris Benetine is the half-elf son of Dargon Lythander, a scout from the elven community in Harken Wood, and Alyssa Benetine, a missionary on behalf of the House of Light in Fallcrest. Shunned by his father’s family, Kris grew up living with his mother and her parents, Richard and Miranda Benetine in Hightown. Kris’s father made frequent trips to Fallcrest in Kris’ formative years and often took him on long trips into the woods. The bulk of Kris’ time, however, was spent with his mother at the church while she tended to her duties. Kris often played with a young human girl, Rebeca Wainwright, a ward oif the church. When Kris came of age, he decided to follow in his mother’s vocation, and he became a lightbringer of Pelor.

Kris is 6’2” and weighs about 190 pounds. He has auburn hair and hazel eyes. He is normally found around Fallcrest in the white and gold robes of Pelor. Kris has an affable demeanor and seems to be liked by almost everyone he meets. He is a genuinely good person in the service of a benevolant God. Kris has not had much exposure to the outside world beyond Fallcrest and is a bit naive, viewing most matters of morality as lack and white. Kris is a keen observer with observational skills taught by his father. Kris combines this with his understanding of human nature from his clergy training to be a very perceptive and intuitive individual. Kris also has a way of animals inherited from his father which hw has combined with his medical and herbal skills to serve as a defacto vet for the town of Fallcrest. Kris was part of the group summoned by the Septarch, Nimozian, to investigate the rise of kobold ambushes on the road to Fallcrest. This led to the group stumbling in to the plot to open the gates underneath Shadowfall Keep by the followers of Orcus. The party thwarted the cult and have continued to travel together for everyone’s mutual benefit.

FRIENDS/ALLIES Kris travels with Nord Kegbreaker (Dwarf fighter), Stasi Needleborn (Human warlock), Avorra (Teifling wizard), Kithri Halfmoon (Halfling ranger), and Keothi (Goliath priest of Raven Queen). Nord has become Kris’ contant companion, confidant, and mentor in the martial arts. The party look to Kris for leadership, and Kris looks to Nord for advice. Kris considers himself friends with Stasi and is starting to have feelings for her. He has vowed to see her quest to find her father through until the end. Kris is not particularly close with Avorra or Kithri, but he bares them no ill-will. Both have given him reason to stay up at night. Kithri has an impulsive and hot-headed nature that has threatened to unnecessarily put her and the party’s life in danger on more than one occasion. The tiefling has a quest for power and knowledge that borders on obsessive. She is secretive and dallies with dark powers. As Kris discovers more of her secrets, the two draw closer to a confrontation. Keothi is a new addition to the group. There has been no friction amongst him and Kris and the two priests seem to have much in common.

Kris works with and for both his mother, a Beacon of the House of Light, and Grundelmar (dwarf paladin) a lantern in the church’s martial order, and highest ranking church member at the House of Light. Kris and the party have done work on behalf of Nimozian and Kris considers him a benefactor of good standing. Kris is also on good terms with Lord Faren Markelhay and Lady Markelhay who rule the city and with the city’s watch. Other allies in the city include the Ironhues clan. Kris was close to Thaldorian and continues to be close to Gertha and hr sons.

ENEMIES Any who serve the foul demon lord of the dead,, Orcus. The traitor Ninaren who poisoned his father in Winterhaven whilst the part was in the ruins of Shadowfell Keep. He is still struck down by its effects. Father Night, the evil Cleric of the dead god, Nerull has escaped and marked Kris.
